Today I found these hats in a dust covered hat box on the top shelf of my closet...wish I still had the pattern. It has been years since I made these and I suppose I could try to recreate the pattern.

This is much better...size 10.5 kneedle, and I have just started my 2nd ball and even better...I am so much farther along than before and it is correct!!! I did change one thing. I am not doing the yarn over increases - didn't want that "hole" in the shawl. Hope it does turn out though.
What was I thinking! I was onto my 3rd ball of yarn and not even a 1/3 the way done...I would have been sucking so much yarn into this black hole had I not wised up and pulled out the calculator. Out with the old...
Starting to run out of yarn on this shawl the way it is now. So, today, I put it aside. I rummaged through my needle bag and found my 10.5 circulars and with a new ball of yarn started in on this shawl again...way better. I am almost at the same place I am on the original one and I have only been knitting on it for a few hours. It is a lot looser and more lacy, but I won't be running out of yarn half way through it. There is no more yarn in this dye lot at my LYS and besides, the original one is really too tight. I was getting very overwhelmed by the fact that I would have to knit all those stitches across one row after the last increase...
